We are delighted to have been named as a finalist at this year’s NottinghamshireLive Business Awards, which will take place at the East Midlands Conference Centre on Thursday 14th October 2021.
The NottinghamshireLive Business Awards celebrates success, recognises achievement and highlights the innovative people and companies across Nottinghamshire who are putting the county on the map by boosting the economy, while making a positive contribution to the local community.
A host of local companies will be competing across fifteen categories, with The Dairy named as a finalist within the Apprentice Employer of the Year category. We have been shortlisted for our work in hiring and developing apprentices throughout our 19 years in business including our current Digital Marketing Executive, Claudia Wright.
Claudia joined the agency in 2017 – completing her Level 3 Apprenticeship, CIM qualifications and progressing from the position of Account Junior to Digital Marketing Executive. Claudia has continued her personal development since that time and is now working towards a Digital Marketing Integrated Degree Apprenticeship through Nottingham Trent University.
She has become integral to The Dairy’s success, leading on the agency’s recent rebrand and evolving the way the company delivers digital services for its clients.
This is not the first time we have been nominated for a Nottinghamshire Live Business Award, after we were named as a winner in the Professional Services category in 2018.
This year’s awards night will take place on Thursday 14th October 2021 at the East Midlands Conference Centre and will be attended by hundreds of business people from across Nottinghamshire. The event will be a celebration of the county’s best companies and a reminder that Nottinghamshire is a great place to do business. The evening will also act as a fantastic opportunity for networking, uniting the Nottinghamshire business community in a positive way.
Account Director, Tom Walters, is delighted with the news that we have been named as a finalist and takes great pride in Claudia’s development over the past four years after mentoring her throughout that time.
“As a company, we truly recognise the rewards of investing in young talent – and the apprenticeship scheme is the perfect vehicle for this,”
“There are benefits for both the individual and the company,” he adds. “The employee is given the opportunity to gain experience in the industry whilst gaining qualifications and developing their skills, while the business benefits from a fresh, young mind that can bring a different approach to our everyday work,”
“Both Claudia and myself were interns with the agency prior to working here full time, and we have both gone on to achieve great things with The Dairy,” says Tom. “Giving young people a chance to prove what they can do by handing them genuine responsibility, as well as the tools they need to flourish and grow, is a great way to ensure that as a business we remain a relevant and attractive partner for our clients,”
Tom continues, “I have watched Claudia grow and develop both her skills and her confidence over the past four years. The journey she has been on is inspirational and as a team we are incredibly proud of her. She is determined, driven and has a natural rapport with our clients. Her creativity is exceptional and she really does have a bright future ahead of her. She truly epitomises the success that can be achieved for both businesses and individuals through the apprenticeship programme.”
