We’re delighted to announce that we have committed to continuing our sponsorship of Nottingham Rugby Club for the forthcoming 2020-21 season.
Since first becoming a sponsor in 2008, we have partnered with Nottingham Rugby to provide free marketing support across a number of areas including strategy and planning, design, print, social media, web and copywriting. This has continued throughout the COVID-19 outbreak with initiatives in place to promote the club ahead of and during the forthcoming 2020-21 season.
For our Managing Director, Nigel Rowlson, getting behind his boyhood club is more important now, than ever before in its history.
“My relationship with Nottingham goes back to when I was a teenager when I not only supported the club, but played for it too,”
“The RFU has dealt the club and indeed all clubs below the Premiership a bad hand with its substantial funding cuts. This, alongside the obvious impacts that COVID-19 will have, means that it’s vital for the local business community and the fans to come together and back the club in any way possible,”
“For us it was a no-brainer to commit to sponsoring the club for another season and we’re excited by the plans in place to ensure that we remain competitive for the 2020-21 season and beyond,”
We recorded our best year in over a decade in 2019 after setting substantial growth targets. This included the addition of a new Account Executive and managing to increase turnover on the previous year by nearly 20%.
This was made possible by retaining our current portfolio of clients while adding a number of new names into the mix including Nottingham’s Robin Hood Network, GVC Group, Woodhead Group, Idlewells Shopping Centre, Infuse Technology and Saint Gobain PAM UK.
Fortunately, we’re continuing to operate and thrive despite the lockdown – working remotely to ensure that all of our services remain available to both new and existing clients. In fact the current landscape has not deterred new enquiries for our services, as Nigel goes on to explain.
“When the lockdown came into force and we were told to work from home, like many we feared the worst. But we’re working well, using all of the technology available to us to stay in contact and complete projects on time and within budget,”
“The most encouraging thing for me is that we are still seeing a healthy number of new business enquiries to work on marketing projects over the coming months, which has given myself and the team a much needed mental boost for the remainder of 2020,”
He continues, “Our current clients also remain busy across construction, civil engineering, leisure, financial services and much more. Naturally the future still has a degree of uncertainty to it, but we’re positive that things will start to turn soon and that the economy will see a bit of a ‘boom’ in the not too distant future,”
“Let’s hope that this ‘boom’ translates onto the rugby pitch and that we can all enjoy an entertaining night under the lights of The Bay with friends before too long!”
