About the role
We are looking for a back-end or full-stack web developer to join our team, initially one day a week on a part-time basis, as we grow our in-house web expertise. You will be working with a wide variety of clients creating bespoke websites – from simple brochure to custom e-commerce projects, as well as ad-hoc bug fixes and amends.
The role is focussed on developing WordPress sites alongside our design studio, liaising with account managers and ensuring development and code follows best practice and meets industry standards. You will need to be able to work to strict deadlines and successfully communicate with the wider Dairy team
The role initially covers one day per week freelancing/employment with the agency, however there is scope for this to grow alongside the growth of our in-house website projects.
The successful candidate will be working as part of an exciting and friendly award-winning West Bridgford-based agency, which has seen impressive growth over recent years. The Dairy is one of the most respected and well-known full-service creative agencies across Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands, working with names such as Gala Bingo, Notts County Football Club and Motorpoint. We are looking for a candidate that is based local to Nottingham and is able to work from our office on agreed days, on a weekly basis.
Requirements for the successful candidate will be:
- 2+ years industry experience
- 2:1 university degree or higher
- Knowledge of and experience with:
- WordPress CMS
- Knowledge of SSL/TLS
- cPanel and Apache server management
- Understanding of / practical experience in Google analytics
- Understanding of / practical experience in SEO
- UI/UX skills
- Knowledge of other CMSs (I.E. Magento, Craft)
- Experience with GIT versioning & deployment
