Flamingo campaign case study
Gala Bingo is a chain of UK bingo clubs, offering value for money and a great experience to its customers.

 

Our partnership with Gala Bingo started in the summer of 2017, when the nationally recognised bingo chain was looking for a re-vamp of its marketing activity for a new campaign.

Gala Bingo was looking to promote its ‘bigger and better’ bingo experience, which launched in October of the same year. Our task was to develop an exciting, memorable campaign which would stick with the customer and entice people to ‘flock’ to Gala Bingo.

With a tight deadline, we put our creative juices in full flow, and built a campaign around the idea of the very in-fashion flamingos coming to Gala Bingo! After working up initial concepts, it was then a case of pulling everything together ahead of the campaign launch and launch party at the beginning of October.

The finished campaign would be required to go across print, digital and video.

Our studio worked up the funky campaign visuals – which incorporated flamingos driving cars, winning bundles of cash and enjoying the occasional glass of bubbly too!

To go alongside the eye-catching visuals, we needed snappy straplines and copy to really push the messages of bigger and better bingo. Our copywriting team set to work on drafting social media content and campaign anchor copy, with lines such as “Go go flamingo at Gala Bingo” and “Spread your wings for our biggest bingo wins” just a few to come from the team.

Finally, we hired a green screen studio in Birmingham, and recorded several short videos to be used on social to help push the campaign. With a flurry of flamingo props, and a several Gala Bingo team members taking part, the finished videos formed a key part of the campaign launch.
 

Working on the flamingo campaign was a fantastic experience for our team, and we look forward to continuing our working relationship with Gala Bingo.
